VINCENT BISHOP est un auteur-compositeur-interprète né à Vancouver. À l’âge d’un an et demi, ses parents et lui déménagent à Summerland, une ville rurale dans la vallée Okanagan avant de déménager à Ottawa à cinq ans. Il développe rapidement une affinité et un talent pour chanter et composer des harmonies vocales complexes et balancées.
Multi-instrumentaliste et inspiré par la musique traditionnelle et country, Vincent y joue de la guitare, du ukulélé, du banjo, de la clarinette, de la guimbarde et de la basse en plus de faire du «beatbox» pour ses arrangements en spectacle. Avec ses instruments gauchers et sa pédale «loop», Vincent apporte une vague d’énergie avec lui lorsqu’il est en spectacle.
En juin 2017, Vincent a obtenu son baccalauréat spécialisé en musique avec distinction à l’université Carleton. Vincent a présentement trois albums à son actif : deux en anglais et un en français. En avril 2022, la Fondation Franco-ontarienne a décerné la bourse du Fonds Robert Paquette à Vincent pour son premier album francophone, «L’amour serait bienvenu». En janvier 2023, il a été récipiendaire du prix «Coup de Foudre Salut!» de Réseau Ontario, un honneur qui est remis par des diffuseurs scolaires de l’Ontario français. En 2022 et 2023, Vincent a été en nomination pour «Artiste francophone de l’année» au gala du Country Music Association of Ontario.
Vincent a été diagnostiqué avec le syndrome d’Asperger du trouble du spectre de l’autisme (TSA) à l’âge de cinq ans. Dans plusieurs de ses chansons ainsi qu’en conférence, Vincent parle de son parcours et de ses expériences en tant qu’enfant et jeune homme atteint de cette condition qui lui a causé bien des défis, mais aussi bien des qualités. Deux de ses albums sont sortis en avril, le mois de sensibilisation à l’autisme : «Ambiguous» (2019) et «L’amour serait bienvenu» (2022).
Vincent offre également des cours de musique, des ateliers et des conférences musicales pour tous les âges. Outre chanter ses compositions et interpréter ses chansons préférées, le contenu de ses présentations comportent aussi de la sensibilisation à l’autisme.

VINCENT BISHOP is a singer-songwriter born in Vancouver. At the age of one and a half, his parents and him moved to Summerland, a country town in the Okanagan Valley before moving to Ottawa at the age of five. He developed an affinity and talent for singing and composing complex yet well-balanced vocal harmonies at a very early age.
Multi-instrumentalist and inspired by folk and country music, Vincent plays guitar, ukulele, banjo, clarinet, jaw harp, and bass in addition to beatboxing for his live arrangements. Holding left-handed instruments and stepping on his loop station, Vincent brings energy to captivated audiences of his versatile work and optimistic performances.
In June 2017, Vincent graduated from the Honours Bachelor of Music program at Carleton University with distinction. Vincent currently has three albums: two in English and one in French. In April 2022, the Fondation Franco-Ontarienne awarded the Robert Paquette fund to Vincent for his first French-language album, “L’amour serait bienvenu” (Love Would Be Welcome). In January 2023, he was the recipient of the “Coup de Foudre Salut!” award from Réseau Ontario, an honor given by school broadcasters in French Ontario. In 2022 and 2023, Vincent was nominated for “Francophone Artist of the Year” at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards.
Vincent was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome from the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of five. In many of his songs as well as in conferences, Vincent talks about his journey and his experiences as a child and young man with this condition, which has caused him many challenges, but also many qualities. Two of his albums were released in April, Autism Awareness Month: “Ambiguous” (2019), and “L’amour serait bienvenu” (2022).
Vincent also offers music lessons, workshops and musical conferences for all ages. In addition to singing his compositions and performing his favorite songs, the content of his presentations also includes autism awareness.
